Starting my own website to continue covering the outdoors since leaving the newspaper just seemed like the logical thing to do, especially after talking to many of my followers who were worried the paper wouldn’t be covering hunting and fishing. With me gone, there really isn’t anyone left to do it.

So I’ll pick up the slack here and will be able to do so in my own way and in my own words. Think of previous outdoor coverage, just a little crazier.

That said, let’s jump right in.

How’s everybody holding up in what has to be the strangest times any of us has ever lived in? I’m hoping everyone is doing well.

You got any toilet paper I can buy?

If there is a silver lining with all this crap it’s that we have the outdoors to save what’s left of our minds.

The government hasn’t told us we can’t go fishing, although it has said that charter captains can’t operate their businesses. Pray that this is over soon for all of those folk that makes their living on the water.

And the government likely hasn’t even thought about hunting.

Fishing has gotten off to a good start and we’re in the midst of the spring gobbler season.
